Singapore is a perfect place for a holiday. It is all the more exciting if you travel with your kids because there are many interesting places that are catered for everyone.

Traveling with kids made easy

Whether you know it or not, most of the attractions in Singapore are family-friendly. One thing for sure, you cannot cover EVERYTHING especially if you are traveling with your kids. This is because there will always be a lot of walking and bringing the young ones might not be as easy as you will have to ensure everyone is taken care of. Hence, you will need to plan before you go or you might spend all your time taking care of them, making sure they are fine.

Singapore has more to offer than just food and shopping. Seriously! You have to plan your trip with your kids and everyone will surely have a good time. After all, you will find, among many other attractions that have:

Gardens by the Bay

One of the best highlights about Singapore is when you visit Gardens by the Bay. Kids will love the garden for children while the conservatories are just amazing. Not forgetting the futuristic trees and many other structures. The kids will have a great time running about and enjoying the surroundings. Totally picturesque and beautiful just to be there.

While you are there, visit the OCBC Skyway which will elevate you 22 meters above ground among the vertical garden. As mentioned, the Far East Organization Children’s Garden is just perfect for the kids as they get to play at the equipment provided.

Another attraction that you must never miss, especially for the kids is the Singapore Flyer. It is the world’s second largest observation wheel which elevates you up to 165 meters up above the ground. But that is not all. Besides being rotated to see Singapore at its highest, you can visit the multimedia exhibition entitled ‘Journey of Dreams’ which won’t take more than half an hour.

Museums for the kids

This will be somewhat educational.

  • Take a walk into the National Museum of Singapore and your kids will have an amazing time learning history. After all, the exhibits here are interactive and very educational. After all, anyone below 6 years old need not pay anything while they provide activity rooms for children too.
  • While you are at it, head out to the Mint Museum of Toys. As the name implies, this is fully dedicated to the young ones. Collected from more than 40 countries globally and going back as far as the 19th century, your kids will have a field day looking at more than 50,000 toys there.
  • The Singapore Philatelic Museum is not as outdated as anyone could imagine. It is in fact one of the most exciting museums to visit as it is not only about stamps. It includes the history of how Singapore stamps came about where the exhibits are actually designed to be children-friendly.

Check out Singapore Botanic Gardens

If you haven’t already known, the Singapore Botanic Gardens is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a remarkable achievement considering Singapore has limited natural land left. At the park, your kids will get to enjoy the freedom of running about and bask in nature’s best. Most of the attractions here are free of charge but you must visit the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden which includes interactive games and activities.

Wild Wild Wet Theme Park

This might pale in comparison to Universal Studios but its cheaper and not lacking in fun. It is at Pasir Ris and is not too large but the kids will like the rides and water slides here.

Singapore Zoo and Night Safari

Every kid will surely like the zoo. And Singapore Zoo is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained ones in the world. The award-winning animal park is a major tourist attraction in Singapore where your kids will love the sights of tiger, giraffes and polar bears. And not forgetting the pandas too. Meanwhile, you must bring your kids to the Night Safari, yet another award-winning attraction.

The Singapore Science Centre and Discovery Centre

Your children will love you for bringing them to the Singapore Science Centre. After all, Singapore is known to be one of the most technologically advanced countries not only in the region but the world over. You probably need to spend about half to three-quarter of a day here as there are so many things to see, to learn and to play for the kids. After that, head to the next door where you will find Snow City. It is not surprising that you get to chill in snow here as Singapore is such a wonderful place.

The Singapore Discovery Centre is, as what it says, a place for discovery. Kids will enjoy the interactive exhibits here that include, a 3D cinema, a crisis simulation theater and many more.

The Jurong Bird Park

Might not be every kid’s favorite but surely an unforgettable outing for anyone. This is the reputable largest bird park in Asia. There are more than 5,000 birds in this park where kids can feed some of those.

Modern attractions

For the kids, modern theme parks like Universal Studios and Kidzania would surely resonate well with them. These places promise no lesser than maximum fun for them as long as they are game for it. You would expect to pay for theme park entrance tickets for sure but the cost will surely be worth every penny. Kidzania let your kid act like an adult and take on adult jobs. They can be firemen, doctors and scientists if they like.
As for Universal Studios, the choice is obvious. Pick and choose any ride, from Transformers to Jurassic Park or just hang around with some of the most popular action movie figures know to them.

If you have time, you can visit other places around Singapore but bear in mind that you need to hold on to your kids as some places can be quite crowded. This includes:
